Sampling 自 Hip Hop 音樂誕生以來，一直是令 Hip Hop 文化獨樹一幟的核心元素。相較傳統古典音樂需要大量樂器及專業錄音室，Sampling 只需簡單設備即可創作。有人視之為抄襲，亦有人視之為致敬；然而，巧妙運用 Sampling，往往能創造出一首又一首經典音軌。

Since the birth of Hip Hop, sampling has been a core element that makes the culture unique. Unlike classical music, which requires many instruments and professional studios, sampling needs only simple equipment to create. Some call it plagiarism, others call it tribute, but when used well, sampling produces classic track after classic track.
